At Birdify ("we," "our," or "us"), we are committed to protecting the privacy of the developers, agencies, and software companies who use our over-the-air (OTA) mobile app patching platform. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your data when you visit our website, use our web dashboard, or integrate our software development kit (SDK) into your applications.
1. Data We Collect
- Account Information: When you register an account, we collect your name, email address, company name, and developer credentials.
- Payment & Billing Data: All payment processing is handled securely by third-party payment gateways (e.g., Razorpay, PayPal, or Paddle). We do not store your raw credit card numbers or banking passwords on our servers.
- Application Metadata: To deliver OTA patches mid-flight, our servers log lightweight deployment configurations, target platform information (Flutter or React Native), and patch versioning metadata. We do not collect, inspect, or store end-user personal identifiable information (PII) from your applications.
2. How We Use Your Data
We use the collected data strictly to:
- Provision, maintain, and optimize your Birdify cloud dashboard and CLI tools.
- Route compiled patches securely from our cloud infrastructure to your active user devices.
- Process monthly recurring subscriptions and handle billing queries.
- Send critical system notifications, security updates, and technical documentation alerts.
3. Data Storage and Retention
Birdify is a cloud-native platform. Your developer configurations and account metrics are stored securely in cloud databases. We retain this data for as long as your account remains active or as required to fulfill our legal tax, export compliance, and accounting obligations in India and globally.
4. Third-Party Sharing and Data Transfers
We do not sell or rent your data. Your information is only shared with essential, compliant sub-processors necessary to run our service:
- Payment Providers: To facilitate international settlements into India.
- Cloud Infrastructure: For secure routing and hosting of server-side data.
Note on End-User Data: Birdify operates as a data processor with respect to the OTA patches you deploy. You are the data controller of your app users' information. Because we do not collect PII from your end-users, you do not need to disclose user-level data collection by Birdify to your users, though you must disclose your use of OTA update mechanisms under store guidelines.
5. Developer Rights & GDPR Compliance
